Character 8.7/10
Oz Cobb/Oswald Cobblepot (Colin Farrell) has street dreams. And he aims to sit on the throne. His circle is small. He trusts no one but Victor and his girlfriend, Eve. If he had to sacrifice anyone, they would be the last two on his list. But, this viewer thinks even Eve would go before Victor. Oz sees a lot of himself in Victor. He wants to mentor him and bring him along for the ride.
Victor Aguilar (Rhenzy Feliz) is at a crossroads. He wars with himself. His father was an honest man who made an honest living. He enjoyed the simple things in life. But deep down Victor has always wanted more. Oz comes along and tells him he’s right to want more and that he can show him how to get it.
But what Oz, his new father figure, is teaching him contradicts what his father taught him. It leaves Victor with a tough choice. He could stay and sacrifice who he used to be for everything he ever wanted but with no guarantees. He could end up dead. Or he could give up on the path that Oz sets before him and leave with his girlfriend to recapture some of what he possessed in his old life. But does he dare risk it? The man he is now could tire of that old life very quickly.
Graciela (Anir Kim Amoda), Victor’s old girlfriend, is his fork in the road. She wants to escape and take a little piece of home with her. That’s why she makes Victor the offer.
Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti) has an axe to grind with The Penguin. She still hasn’t figured out why he’s helping her. She trusted him once before. She got burned for her trouble. She’s hesitant to do it again. But she doesn’t have much choice. He could be the key to her gaining the Falcone throne.
Johnny Vitti (Michael Kelly) is a snake in the grass. He doesn’t have a loyal bone in his body. He’s interested in consolidating his power. And he sees Sofia as a threat because she’s the daughter of the former boss. So he wants her out of the picture as quickly as possible. But he's not savvy and makes stupid decisions. He sees himself as a future king but isn’t much more than a pawn.
