Character 7.8/10
Malcolm Lee (Andre Holland) has seen the future. He knows that mankind can easily go the way of the dinosaurs. He’s doing everything in his power to prevent that. But what he doesn’t realize is that his actions may have incited a series of events that set humankind’s extinction in motion.
Misaki (Sumalee Montano) is more than meets the eye, both to herself and others.
Reika (Gideon Adlon) is the youngest. But she seems to be the most mature of the Lee children. She makes judgments based on actions and not on whether a life form is artificial or biological.
Hiro (Carter Rockwood) is wise beyond his years. He knows that sometimes you just have to go with your gut.
Kenta (Armani Jackson) is book-smart. He is young and already a whiz when it comes to technology and robotics. But what he has in intellect, he lacks in commonsense. It's ironic, given the decision he has to make.
Eiko (Sonoya Mizuno) has a clear mission when she starts. But what she thinks she has to do to fulfill that mission shifts and changes. She doesn't know if her mission is fated for success or doomed to failure. What she learns is she's in the right time and place to rewrite a better future for mankind.
Korkuro (Rosario Dawson) sits in judgment. She has free will. She uses it to weigh whether or not mankind deserves salvation or judgment.

Animation 7.9/10
The art style and animation are incredible. The animators and artists avoid the pitfalls of this series just becoming another anime. It feels very much like the story takes place in the Terminator universe. They do a great job on the character designs. The action and animation support the story very well.
Final Thoughts
Terminator Zero is an expansion of the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It sheds light on how we get from Sky Net's launch to the rise of Terminators. In short, it's the series that Terminator fans didn’t know they needed.
